ROTARY’S CHARITY WORK IN BIRMINGHAM

At present, there are six rotary clubs covering the Birmingham area. There are two clubs located in the centre of Birmingham at Centenary Square and at the International Convention Centre (ICC), the Holte Pub located at Aston Villa Football Club and Handsworth. There are also two in Edgbaston at The Plough & Harrow hotel and The Portland hotel.

Our clubs are designed to cater for all ages and backgrounds, anybody wishing to get involved with volunteering in Birmingham, charity fundraisers or simply as a way to meet new people is always welcome.

Volunteering in Birmingham and the West Midlands

We are committed to improving Birmingham and the West Midlands region and to do this, we need volunteers to help us in our mission. Volunteering with Rotary helps thousands of people and offers an opportunity for you to gain personal satisfaction at the same time. We work with businesses, charities and authority institutions all over the region to help make improvements locally, nationally and internationally and we need you to help.

Our Birmingham charity work

Just some of the charity work that we have been involved with in recent times includes creating a mock disaster relief zone in Centenary Square in conjunction with the ShelterBox charity as part of our efforts to raise money for countries affected by natural disasters. Read more here.

Meet Rotary

“I always think about other people first, so Rotary was the perfect place to go. The feel good benefits of helping others are there for all to see. Our club has raised more than £42,000 for 33 different causes in the last two and a half years alone.”
