The Interact Multi District Rally in Wales is being hailed a huge success. Morfa Bay Adventure provided the setting for the weekend getaway for Interactors from all across the country.

As well as exciting outdoor activities, the Interactors shared news of their projects and ideas, all of which aim to help improve the lives of others.

Organiser Rotarian Gwenda Griffiths said the weekend brought out the best in the youngsters: "This event never ceases to amaze me. We had people doing things for the first time, encouraged by others, and the ideas they come up with for their own projects are life-changing.

"What is particularly inspiring is the way everyone makes friends so quickly. It really adds to the atmosphere of the weekend and shows how Rotary helps to bring people together. I  urge more to check out their local Interact club and discover how it can broaden horizons."

The youngsters were not the only ones taking great leaps. RIBI President John Minhinick joined in: "I had a feeling I would be taking part in the activities and I have to say the zip wire was tremendous fun. The speed at which you move is incredible.

"Meeting everyone this weekend was a real privilege and I have really high hopes for all our Interactors wherever they may be in the world. It is their ideas and their vision which will make the world a better place."

Interact clubs are aimed at 12- 18 year olds who want to make new friends and embark on adventures. Clubs create at least two projects each year, one at home and one overseas. They are sponsored by their local Rotary club.

RIBI is on Facebook and Twitter. Feel free to join the conversation.
