Rotary clubs are being thanked for their support for BBC Children in Need after contributions helped donations to top £26m on the night.

The Rotary Club of Horsham featured on the national television broadcast when thanks were given for their mascot madness and the efforts of clubs countrywide. The family fun day can be seen on BBC iPlayer here. Fast forward to approximately 27 minutes in and see Pudsey, local mascots, families and Rotarians raising money and raising the roof with music, mayhem and much fun.

Donations are still coming in everywhere as clubs collect money raised during quirky and crafty activities. Frugal meals, collections, Pudsey shaped coin collections and even a static bike ride all helped to generate much-needed funding for children everywhere.

Rotary does much more than raise funds. Our clubs and members are active members of the communities and always looking for ways to support young people. Whether it is a national competitions for youngsters to show off their talents or the RIBI Young Citizen Awards, Rotarians are committed to improving the lives of others through local, national and international hands-on projects. Our vast network enables us to reach communities far and wide.

If you would like to find out more, please contact your local Rotary club and discover how you can transform lives.
