Volunteer vacancies now open!

This is your chance to get involved with a number of exciting vacancies which have opened up across various areas of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland.

These include positions within the newly reformed committee structure, Rotary Magazine, the Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland Conference Committee and the E-Learning team.

Service Committee positions

Committee vacancies

To reflect the needs of clubs, the Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland committee structure is changing. The service avenues will now be supported through a Home (Community) group and an Away (International) group, each with a chairman and team members of specialists addressing each of the activities and interests we wish to promote and support through districts and clubs. This is a fantastic opportunity to be at the forefront of change in Rotary.

Positions are open for Committee Chairmen and Committee Members/Specialists for 2017/18,

Rotary Magazine Section Editor


The main duties will be to edit and proof stories for the Rotary Effect section of Rotary magazine, which highlights the wonderful work done by clubs across Great Britain and Ireland.

By bringing together editorial contributions taken from a number of sources, you will work alongside the Managing Editor, the Editorial Team including the Creative Designer to produce an engaging publication for both Rotarians and the public.

Journalists and Photographers


Are you a journalist or work in copy writing? We’re looking for on the ground, field journalists who can help supply us with stories straight from the districts for the Rotary magazine. Each edition features an exciting array of news and features, from high profile interviews to local club projects and the Editor needs a team of contributors, who have a background in media writing and a nose for a story, to tell us what’s the big news happening across the country.

Or maybe you have experience with professional or event photography? We're also looking for a network of photographers who can attend club events and really capture the moments that make Rotary so special. You photographs will appear in print and online versions of the magazine and will be seen by tens of thousands of readers!

Conference Negotiator


The role of the Conference Negotiator will include venue negotiations and collaboration with the newly elected President of the year to establish an understanding of their vision for the conference.

Other tasks will include negotiating the best terms within a predefined budget, researching AV requirements and detailing the terms of a the business relationship and contracted service provision.

E-Learning Team


Do you have experience in the development of Training material and have good IT skills? If so we have opportunities for you to become involved in an exciting programme.

The Leadership Development & Training Committee works in partnership with Rotary International (RI) and utilises the RI Learning Centre for our E-Learning Courses.

We have ongoing vacancies for some new course developers, working with existing developers, course owners (usually Rotary GB & Ireland Committees) and with Rotary International staff. The appointments will be for individual course projects. All training and meetings will be online so travel is not required.
