Rotary in Great Britain & Ireland Committee positions 2018/19

Deadline: Midnight Sunday 22nd October 2017

We are seeking applications to the RIBI Committees 2018/19. The committees have been streamlined, giving specialist role opportunities to Rotarians with skills and experience that would help support and strengthen our clubs and their programmes and enhance the public image of Rotary.

Applications for RIBI Committee Chairmen and Committee Members/Specialists for 2018/19 are now open. Please find more information below along with details on how to apply.

RIBI Committee Teams:

1. Home Supporting: District Community Service; Environmental; Emergency Resilience; Vocational Service; Youth; Technology Tournaments; Rotary Youth Leadership Award (RYLA); Youth Competitions; Interact; RotaKids;  Events and Partnerships

2. International –  Supporting: District International Service; Inter-Country Committees; Disaster Response (including box schemes); Youth Exchange; New Generations Service Exchange

3. Leadership Development and Training – District Governor facilitation; Assistant Governor Facilitation; Seminar design/delivery; eLearning

4. Membership working with RI Coordinators and Assistant Coordinators – Development, support and implementation of Rotary 2 (new club formation, including Rotaract)

5. Constitutions – Governance and District Secretary support

6. Finance – Budgeting and District Treasurer support

7. Public Image – Supporting District Public Image teams toenhance the Public Image of Rotary (RI appointees)

8. Foundation – Supporting District Foundation teams, programmes, grants and promotion (RI appointees)

If you would like to be considered for a role on a RIBI Committee, please complete the application form, submitting in an editable format (i.e. Microsoft Word) to governance@rotarygbi.org by midnight on Sunday 22nd October 2017.

Those who are currently working on a committee who will not be time served by June 2018 and wish to continue on a committee, will need to submit their application by the deadline.

Please note: Eligibility for continued membership on the same committee is detailed in the decision below:

Membership of a committee is renewable annually through application and re-appointment is not automatic. With regard to length of membership on committees: that no individual should serve more than three years as an ordinary member on a particular committee; no individual should serve more than three years as chair of the committee; the total period of service as an ordinary member and chair on a particular committee should not exceed five years. (Decision 41: General Council 2014/15)

Please note: If you have served a full term on one committee you are eligible to apply for membership of an alternative committee.
