Do you know someone who does outstanding work in their community? Or perhaps an individual who has dedicated their time and talents to assist with an international project? Then this unsung hero could become one of Rotary’s Champions of Change.

The Awards were set up in 2013/14 to recognise the difference Rotarians across Great Britain and Ireland make to the world.

With the submission deadline of 4th January approaching fast, time is running out to get your nominations in. You may even be sat beside a potential Champion of Change at your next Rotary club meeting. So if Rotarians would like to put forward an individual you believe is a Champion of Change, then contact your District Governor.

Your nomination could be the driving force that helps someone who has changed lives and inspired others through their enthusiasm, ideas and commitment to get the recognition they richly deserve.

Held at the House of Lords, this year’s Awards will be hosted by Baron Inglewood of Hutton in the Forest in the County of Cumberland, and be presented by Minister for Civil Society and MP for Reading East Rob Wilson (pictured). Mr Wilson has a keen personal and professional interest in encouraging people to engage in social action, volunteering and the Big Society Initiative, a key principle of Rotary.
