Chair of the Board

Lead the future of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland

This is an exciting time for Rotary GB&I. With new governance arrangements in place and a clear strategic direction, we have now filled the positions of Chair of the Board from 2022 until 2025.

The Rotary GB&I Board is our governing body. Under the leadership of the Chair, the Board members are collectively responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy of the Rotary GB&I Board, defining clear goals and ensuring that the Association is accountable to members.

The Chair champions Rotary’s values of leadership, integrity, diversity, service and fellowship, ensuring they are embedded in the Association’s activities, behaviours and decisions. The Chair-Elect and Chair-Nominee support the Chair in this role.

What's involved?

The Chair provides leadership to the new Board and the Association. They will work closely with the General Secretary to ensure that the Association is governed effectively. They will be an advocate for Rotary, representing Rotary GB&I at all times.

The Rotary GB&I Board meets at least four times a year. The Chair meets regularly with the General Secretary and the RI Director, alongside other public-facing duties.
