We are now seeking new members for the Rotary GB&I Nominating Committee. The Committee has vacancies for five District nominated members.
The Committee performs a critical role in our new governance arrangements. Committee members select and nominate the next Chair of Rotary GB&I and, in future years, the Treasurer. The Committee is also the Rotary GB&I Appointments Panel, responsible for appointing General Board Members. Serving on the Committee is an opportunity to support and strengthen our governance over the next decade.
You will need to meet some basic eligibility criteria to serve on the Nominating Committee. For more details about eligibility, please read the Committee’s terms of reference and procedures. Candidates will also need to meet the criteria set out in the role description and person specification for Nominating Committee members.
At least three of the five district council members will need to be past officers of Rotary International. If you aren’t a past officer, you will need to have served a minimum of two full terms on a District Executive Committee.
We now need Districts to nominate candidates for the Nominating Committee. Districts may determine how they select a candidate, but any nominee must meet the criteria in the role description and person specification.
If you are interested in joining the Nominating Committee, please read the role description and person specification, along with the Committee’s terms of reference and procedures. You’ll also need to check your availability for the dates below.
If you are nominated as a candidate by your District, you will need to complete the expression of interest section of the nomination form.
Forms are submitted by the District Council. These need to be signed by the Honorary Secretary and the District Governor and must include the nominee’s signed expression of interest. Please submit these to email@example.com by 5pm on 10th November 2021.
