Rotary Tree Challenge – Rodney Huggins Prize for Planting

As if the thought of saving the environment was not enough, there is a prize to inspire clubs to do their best.

The very generous Rodney Huggins Family Trust is offering a one-off award of £250, along with the Rodney Huggins Environmental Award trophy.

To ‘plant’ yourself in the winner’s circle, please send your entry with the following information to Rotarian Terry Knowles by 30th April 2018.

  1. Photographic evidence of the tree planting
  2. The location
  3. The date(s) when the planting was done
  4. The types of trees planted
  5. The size of trees planted
  6. The number of trees planted
  7. The number of the people involved
  8. Who was involved e.g. the Rotary Club of Alcester, Rotakids Forres, staff from a local branch of a national bank and so on.

Other criteria taken into consideration is the originality of any tree planting scheme carried out.

Good luck and get planting!

Meet Rotary

“I always think about other people first, so Rotary was the perfect place to go. The feel good benefits of helping others are there for all to see. Our club has raised more than £42,000 for 33 different causes in the last two and a half years alone.”
