Rotary Impact Days aim to broaden people’s access to volunteering activities and new opportunities across Great Britain and Ireland.
To support the amazing work our clubs and members are doing around Great Britain and Ireland, Rotary Great Britain & Ireland is organising a programme of Impact Days.
This project is aimed at broadening people’s access to volunteering activities and new opportunities, locally and nationwide. We’re partnering with other organisations and Rotary volunteers to create and expand existing initiatives, showcase the ways in which our members make a difference, and increase the impact of our organisation’s work.
Impact Days support Rotary’s areas of focus, and Rotary GB&I is particularly keen to develop events across Great Britain and Ireland which promote engagement with sustainable environmental and community development projects. The Impact Day model is flexible and encourages both short and longer term volunteer involvement, raising awareness of Rotary and our various membership options, and producing measurable outcomes.
Impact Days are open to all Rotary members – Club, Corporate, Direct and Enterprise - and this project encourages everyone to join forces and make a difference as People of Action!

Rotary GB&I partnered with Canal & River Trust to organise environment-based Impact Days for Rotary volunteers in the Midlands and North West recently, to help the charity to maintain essential access to the waterways and green spaces which benefit the local community and visitors.
The Impact Days took place at Perry Barr Locks in Birmingham and Harecastle Tunnel in Stoke on Trent, with further activity hosted by The Rotary club of Aldridge and Rotary in Northwich, as part of their ongoing support of their local waterways.
All events provided an excellent opportunity for Rotary volunteers to make a positive and practical difference together in their local areas.

Our first Rotary Impact Day took place on World Environment Day, Wednesday 5th June, which also coincided with Volunteers' Week 2025.
Here’s a short video of Rotary’s first Impact Day at Birmingham Settlement’s Nature & Wellbeing Centre, which attracted a team of Rotary Enterprise, Direct and Club Members.
