Sorry folks,
We have wisely decided to put the brakes on this year’s Rotary Ride due to the coronavirus.
The team here at Rotary Ride HQ looked at all sorts of ways for holding the outstanding fundraising event, which supports prostate cancer charities, but there was no guaranteed means of keeping everyone safe. Even with social distancing and face masks, there was always a risk to lives as Rotary Ride events attract crowds and that’s just not a good idea.
You may like to hold your own safe cycling events instead, using a static bike that you may have in your house. Perhaps you can connect with Zoom and cycle with your friends. You will still be helping to save lives by funding research into and treatment of prostate cancer by the charities Prostate Cancer UK, Prostate Scotland, Prostate Cymru and the Irish Cancer Society as well as local prostate cancer charities. All of these good causes offer tremendous support for those affected by the cancer, whether patients, relatives or friends.
The Rotary Ride will be back next year, September 4th and 5th, and we hope you will keep yourselves and your families safe, fit and healthy.
Please email the Rotary Ride team with your queries. We are a very helpful bunch.
