Hundreds of youngsters are enjoying a great day out at events all over the country, thanks to local Rotary clubs and the charity KidsOut .
KidsOut is one of many Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland (RIBI) supported projects. Clubs take youngsters on a great day out to a family friendly and fun place. It could be an adventure park or even a picnic. The children may be from disadvantaged backgrounds but many events welcome youngsters from everywhere.
One such event was at Folly Farm, near Swansea, where youngsters enjoyed the specially adapted rides, meeting the animals on the farm and learning about life on the farm.
The first Rotary KidsOut Day took place in 1990. Since then, up to 25,000 disadvantaged children have enjoyed a fun day out every year. More than 100 venues and 1,700 Rotary volunteers make the day out the success that it is.
