More Olympic success is coming to Rotary.

Seven Interactors from Hamble Community Sports College won places in the Young Technology Games Makers for the first week of the Sailing Olympics at Weymouth.

The dynamic group were personally thanked by Lord Coe for their contribution to the success of the Sailing Olympics. Chloe Martin, Emma Brown, Ashwin Bali, Beth Wilkinson, Ellie Kirby, Victoria Ashhurst, and Elliot Cooke worked alongside the Rotary Club of Southampton East Rotarian Rebecca Ault and Hamble College Technology teacher Amir Fakoury.

Support also came from Debbie Dunford, President of Swanage and Purbeck Rotary club. Debbie also had a team from the Purbeck School who were Young Games Makers at the Para Sailing Olympics also at Weymouth.

The efforts and dedication of the Interactors was noticed by LOCOG, with staff members saying it was a pleasure to work with the team.

Hamble Community Sports College Interact Club also won the 2012 RIBI Best Interact Project Award for its support of Ferndale Township School in South Africa. One of the Interactors was also selected to be an Olympic torch bearer on the Southampton leg of the Olympic Flame Torch Relay.
