Inspired by Rotary Alumni 1210’s successful 10-year Rotary Books4Home project, Rotary Great Britain and Ireland launched the new Rotary Books4Home Impact Days.
To take part, Rotary clubs and members are invited to collect 200+ good quality, pre-read children’s books which can be presented to their local school for children to take home to read and keep forever.
By taking part, Rotary is helping children to develop their literacy skills and imagination by providing them with the opportunity to read at home, as well as supporting the environment – 13m+ books per year go to landfill!
