COVID-19 #RotaryResponds Telethon – Make your support go further with Gift Aid

You can now take advantage of a 25% Gift Aid boost to donations to Rotary International’s fundraising telethon, taking place on Saturday 2nd May.

Rotary International will be hosting a special COVID-19 #RotaryResponds telethon this weekend to raise critical funds for responding to the outbreak, and you can see your donations boosted by Gift Aid.

In order to maximise your donation, instead of donating straight to Rotary International, take advantage of Gift Aid to help increase the value of your contributions.

The Rotary Foundation of the United Kingdom (RFUK) has set up a separate fundraising page to the RFUK Disaster Response Fund where Gift Aid will turn every £1 donated into £1.25.

All donations made to the RFUK fund will contribute to Rotary International’s Disaster Response Fund.

In order to maximise your donation, instead of donating straight to Rotary International, take advantage of Gift Aid to help increase the value of your contributions.

The telethon will be hosted live on Rotary International’s Facebook page this Saturday 2nd May at 4pm BST. The goal is to raise more than $1 million dollars.

Across the globe Rotary members have responded in their masses to the COVID-19 pandemic, helping the world get through the crisis.

Great Britain and Ireland is no different, with over 150 projects and activities taking place, ranging from supporting foodbanks to manufacturing medical scrubs and Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).

Already, more than $3.4 million in Rotary Disaster Response Grants have been put into action in the battle against COVID-19.

On top of this millions more has been raised by our members and volunteers, all #PeopleOfAction who responded quickly to help vulnerable stay safe, and save lives.

Join the live event to hear stories from around the world of hope, inspiration and gratitude from Rotarians, Rotaractors and friends of Rotary as they share what they are doing to help their communities, including a feature from Great Britain and Ireland.

The telethon will also showcase how our polio eradication infrastructure is helping to combat COVID-19.

 

How to Participate:

  1. On Saturday 2nd May at 4pm BST, head over to the telethon on Facebook Live. You can find the link on Rotary International’s Facebook
  2. Spread the word and invite others to watch and donate to see what Rotary is doing to help during the COVID-19 pandemic. Download our social media graphics and posts.
  3. Donate as an individual to RFUK Disaster Response Fund to make the most of the Gift Aid contribution, and make your donation go further. Clubs are also able to donate via this link but the Gift Aid boost will not For alternative giving options, please contact RFUK.
