Alan Dodds, President of the Rotary Club of Thrapston and Raunds has decided to kick off his year as president by doing something completely different. No BBQ or party but a 1,000mile cycle ride for charity. He will be setting off on his 14 day continuous journey from Land’s End on Sunday 7 July.
Alan will be joining a group of intrepid cyclists for the 1,000 mile journey to John O’Groats. They will be covering approximately 70 miles a day with a longest day of over 85 miles.
Alan is undertaking the ride to raise funds for both the Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and Rotary charities. He will be raising funds through the Rotary Charity Fundraisers option which enables individuals to collect for a number of charities or good causes as a single collecting charity.
