Rotarians in East Anglia have partnered with timber and builders merchant Ridgeons, in a scheme which will give discounts to over 1,700 Rotarians in the region in order to help raise funds for local projects. A discount card will be used to purchase building materials for Rotary projects or for Rotarians’ own use and at the end of the year the company will provide Rotary with a rebate based on the total expenditure to be used for charitable projects. In addition Ridgeons technical team will provide guidance and support for Rotary building projects.
Rotarian Nick Corke of the Rotary Club of Framlingham said: “We are delighted to have been able to partner with Ridgeons on this corporate social responsibility project which is a win-win opportunity for both organisations. More and more businesses are recognising the benefits which can be enjoyed by partnering with their local Rotary club and I anticipate that Ridgeons are just the first of many linking up with Rotary in this area. The discount card is a good example of how companies can develop their corporate social responsibility policy and support the work of Rotary in their local communities at the same time.”
Hugh Guntrip, Ridgeons Head of Region South said: “We are very pleased to be associated with Rotary and this is a great opportunity for us to help local projects by providing the discount and annual rebate.”
Rotary in East Anglia has 74 clubs covering Cambridge, Norfolk and Suffolk.
