A large contingent of Rotarians helped out at this year’s CarFest North with Chris Evans at Oulton Park, Cheshire. David Williams of Altrincham Rotary Club dressed up as Pudsey Bear and manned the BBC Children in Need shop selling raffle tickets for Don’t Forget Your Car Keys and the grand draw for cars and motorcycles. Members of the Rotary clubs of Sale and Northwich along with friends and family were also in attendance raising over £24,000 in total over the three day event.

Rotary International in Great Britain & Ireland is an official partner of BBC Children in Need and has raised hundreds of thousands of pounds for the cause. In 2013, over £20,000 was raised at Heathrow airport alone. Rotarians in the South of England will be boosting funds for BBC Children in Need further on 22-24 August when they will be volunteering at CarFest South in Hampshire.

Find out more about our partnership with BBC Children in Need here, or visit our social media pages for Rotary Children in Need on Facebook and Twitter.
