TV Chef Dave Myers has lent his support to Rotary’s End Polio Now campaign.
Hairy Biker Dave was one of the speakers at District 1190’s Cumbria & Lancashire Conference at Southport.
Dave is an honorary Rotarian with the Rotary Club of Furness Peninsula where wife Liliana is a member. Whilst Dave was on stage District Governor Ron Duxbury took the opportunity to present him with a bottle of End Polio Now tomato ketchup.
“As a fellow Barrow-in-Furness lad I’d asked Dave to speak to us about his life in front of the camera” said Ron “and I couldn’t resist the opportunity to give him this special souvenir.”
In fact every speaker throughout the weekend was given a bottle of the sauce which was produced to raise money and create awareness for End Polio Now.
Dave also spent some time chatting to the two New Generations Young Chefs who were cooking in the Rotary Showcase, before he left Southport to do some filming in New Orleans.
