Pupils from 23 schools took part in the Rotary Special Needs Football Festival, held at Aston Villa Football Club Academy.

Organised by the Rotary Club of Wylde Green for the sixteenth year running, a total of 260 pupils took part in 36 teams from the West Midlands. The event was supported by the many other Rotary clubs in the area.

Festival Organiser Nick Thurston, of the Rotary Club of Wylde Green said: "Rotary is all about helping local communities and this annual event has proved to be so popular that we had to hold it over two days this year. It was great to see young people from schools across the Midlands and bordering counties taking part in friendly but competitive sport and all having fun.”

Wendy Miller of Saxon Hill Community School commented: ‘We had a fantastic time at Aston Villa yesterday, a huge thank you to all the volunteers from the Rotary.”
