Anna Farrell, winner of Rotary Young Chef 2007 in association with Filippo Berio Olive Oil, is spending today at Fifteen London,founded by Jamie Oliver.
The day’s experience working at Fifteen is part of the Rotary Young Chef prize, Anna also received £250 and, courtesy of Filippo Berio Olive Oil, a trip with her mum to this year’s olive oil harvest in Tuscany. Anna is spending the day under the watchful eye of Fifteen chef Alberto Conti, who was one of this year’s judges.
To win the competition 14-year-old student Anna produced an immaculate meal at Rotary’s Great Britain and Ireland Final at Lutterworth, Leicestershire on Saturday 5th May.
Anna’s starter of lemon blinis topped with smoked salmon,caviar and crème fraiche, followed by a main course of a moist roulade of chicken and a dessert was squares of praline encasing alight and fluffy hazelnut mousse convinced the judges, Walter Zanré of Filippo Berio, Fifteen London’s Alberto Conti and Rotarian, Linda May, that she was the deserved winner of the Rotary Young Chef Rose Bowl.
The judges were amazed at the standard, Alberto Conti of Fifteen London said;
"I was thrilled by the tastes and delightful flavour combinations produced by the young chefs and I am delighted to welcome Anna to Fifteen London today".

"We’re delighted to be involved in Rotary’s Young Chef Competition, it’s the kind of practical, real world event,that can really make a difference to young people. We’re also looking forward to welcoming Anna Farrell to Filippo Berio’s home town of Lucca, Tuscany, when she visits the olive harvest."
Rotary Young Chef, in Association with Filippo Berio Olive Oil,was organised by Rotarian Linda May (Rotary Club of Blaby Meridian)and was assisted by teacher Sarah Middleton and Rotarians from the Rotary Clubs of Blaby Meridian, Lutterworth and Lutterworth Wycliffe.
Anna Farrell was sponsored by the Rotary Club of Aylesbury Hundreds.
