It is with great pleasure that we announce Donna Wallbank, of the Rotary Club of Brynmawr, has been elected President of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland for Rotary year 2019/20.
Formerly the treasurer of the Rotary Club of Brynmawr, Donna has been a member of Rotary since 1997 and has held the post of Chairman for the Community Service Committee.
Commenting on her election, she said: “I am privileged and honoured to have the opportunity to serve as President in 2019/20. I will endeavour to encourage others to join us, in whatever means they are able, to help Rotary provide service in our domestic and international communities but importantly to showcase how Rotary involvement is ‘fun’ whilst achieving something good in the world.”
Donna, who runs an award-winning hair salon in Brynmawr, will take over as president of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland on 1st July 2019.
The voting also saw the re-election of Niall Blair, of the Rotary Club of Marlow, as the Hon. Treasurer of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland for 2019/20.
