KidsOut has been a firm fixture for the Rotary Club of Wylde Green for over 20 years and this summer’s event at Drayton Manor Park was no exception.

KidsOut is an annual national event for disabled school age children, designed to give them a day of fun and happiness. Wylde Green Rotarians have been active supporters for many years, working with staff and pupils at Wilson Stuart School and Sports College in Birmingham.

Sharon Hughes, Head of Early Years Foundation Stage at Wilson Stuart School said: "The children had a fantastic day out at Drayton Manor Park, thanks to members of the Rotary Club of Wylde Green. Volunteers from the club spent the day helping the children have a wonderful time by pushing them in their chairs, sitting with them on the rides and most of all becoming best friends with them, as you could tell by the smiles on their faces throughout the day."

John Watson, President of the Rotary Club of Wylde Green commented: "In Rotary we’re all about helping our local communities and we had a very rewarding day assisting staff from Wilson Stuart Special School. Fortunately the weather stayed fine, so the children and Rotarians alike were able to enjoy going on the rides and looking around the zoo. It is great to see the progress made by many of the pupils. We hope this unique relationship will continue for many years.”
