The Health Editor of The Guardian, Sarah Bosely, recently flew out to Lucknow, India, with a party of 86 RIBI Rotarians taking part in a National Immunisation Day, as reported in RIBI News 19/11/09, to see for herself Rotary’s immense input into the polio eradication programme and the many challenges being faced.
Sarah’s report has been published in The Guardian today (G2 features section), and is also available online (link to new window).
BBC TV presenter Konnie Huq was also on the NID trip, along with a film crew. Her report is on the BBC website (link to new window) and a hard-hitting DVD of the trip, currently in the final stages of editing, will also be available to clubs before Christmas for use in their Thanks for Life activities.
