Hundreds of cyclists got on their bikes for the Three Counties Cycle Ride, organised by the Rotary Club of Bracknell. Charities to benefit are Have a Heart, Thames Hospicecare, Age Concern Bracknell Forest, Thames Valley and Chiltern Air Ambulance and the Rotary Club of Bracknell Trust Fund.

Around 700 cyclists took part with some riding a leisurely 15 miles, while more experienced riders could choose between 33 or 50 miles. The three routes took the cyclists through Berkshire, Buckinghamshire and Oxfordshire.

Rotary Communications Officer, Allan Emmett, who marshalled the tracks, said: “There was a great turnout which we are really happy with. Last year the event raised  £20,000 and we are hoping to top that this year. It’s always a really nice day with no racing involved, just a nice cycle ride to raise money for charity.”
