On and around Father’s Day weekend 2019, Rotary clubs are holding bike rides for all to join in.

Each year, we raise thousands of pounds for our chosen charities Prostate Cancer UKProstate ScotlandProstate Cymru and the Irish Cancer Society as well as local prostate charities of your choice.

Bretby Rotary

Bretby Rotary is pedalling for Prostate Cancer UK at the DW Fitness First Gym in Middleway Park on Saturday 15th June (12pm).

Contact Tom Hunt for more information and find out how you can be part of this exciting cycling adventure.

Refreshments will be provided and the local press may be in attendance.


Kirriemuir Rotary

At the family home of the late Queen Mother on the 22nd June 2019, there will be a for a fundraising bike ride (12pm) and 10K fun run around the estate (10am).

There is a static bike challenge for those who would rather stay in one place.

The Co-operative store in Kirriemuir is also kindly hosting a static ride in their store on the 21st of June for customers to hop on and help raise funds for Prostate Scotland.


Workington Derwent Rotary

  • An exciting family fun cycle ride from Maryport to Allonby is taking place on the 15th June 2019. Register with the Rotary club and meet up at the playground on the end of the Maryport promenade for 11 o’clock. There will be plenty of parking. The route runs along the cycle track and is roughly 8 miles in length. There are free cakes and drinks at the halfway marker and you can buy yourself a burger or an ice cream at the end.
  • The club also has a static bike ride on Friday 14th June for folks who prefer the cosy indoors as opposed to the great outdoors. Thirty bikes have been set aside at the Workington Leisure Centre for anyone who likes a challenge. You may be indoors but you can still experience heavy cycling and work up a sweat for a good cause, Prostate UK.

Castle Douglas Rotary Ride

Join Castle Douglas Rotary on a peaceful and scenic ride with several places of interest along the way.

Donations welcome to Prostate Scotland.

Just turn up on the 16th June 2019 by 9.30am to register at the British Legion Hall for 10am start, no need to pre-book.


Chard Rotary Ride

A team of 12 from Chard Rotary are taking on the challenge of cycling the equivalent distance of rowing across the English Channel to Helmstedt, Germany, on static bikes and the public are invited to help.

Events start at 7am on 22nd June 2019.

Dawlish Rotary Ride

Colin Timms is saddling up for Prostate Cancer UK.

Colin’s condition is currently under control after suffering from prostate cancer himself, is determined to give back to the charity who supported him by riding his static bike twice a week from now until June 15th.

More information regarding donations will be available soon.


Penrith Rotary Ride

Join Penrith Rotary on the 14th of June at Arragon’s Cycles and support Prostate Cancer UK.

Between 10am and 4pm you can just roll up and pedal for the prostate cancer charity on a static bike.

Titsey Rotary Ride

Support prostate cancer charities during the Oxted Boot Fair, organised by Titsey and District Rotary, where a team of club members are taking on the challenge of riding the equivalent distance of Oxted to Brighton on an exercise bike.

Come along on Sunday 9th June 2019 and look for the Rotary tent where this determined group will be.


Torbay Rotary Ride

On Saturday 15th June at 10am until 4pm, everyone is welcome to Torbay Leisure Centre!

There will be static bikes or, if you have a bike, you can use the velodrome at the Torbay Leisure Centre.

Prostate cancer health professionals will be on hand to advise and answer all questions.

The event will be raising funds for the Torbay Prostate Support Association.
