General Board Member

Help shape the future of Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland

Vacancy: General Board Member

We are now seeking members for the new Rotary GB&I Board. The Board has vacancies for five general board members.

The Rotary GB&I Board is our new governing body. Under the leadership of the Chair, Board members are responsible for setting the overall direction and strategy of Rotary GB&I, defining clear goals and ensuring that the Association is accountable to members. Board members embody Rotary’s values: leadership, integrity, diversity, service and fellowship.

What's involved?

Serving as a General Board Member is an opportunity to shape the long-term future of Rotary. It is also an opportunity to work with one of five specialist advisory teams, who play an essential role in delivering our day-to-day work.

General Board Members usually serve a term of three years. This year only, we will make appointments covering one-, two- and three-year terms as we put the new board in place.

The Rotary GB&I board meets at least four times a year, with additional meetings related to the work of the specialist advisory teams.

Who is eligible?

You will need to meet the criteria set out in the role description and person specification for General Board Members. We are seeking to appoint candidates with a commitment to Rotary’s mission and values.
