The Christchurch living advent calendar opens with a magic performance

Dorset Rotary is making the advent calendar come to life with their Christchurch Living Advent Calendar throughout the month of December.

Rotary in Christchurch, Dorset has brought to life the tradition of the ‘Living Advent Calendar’.

The Christchurch Living Advent Calendar (CLAC) will be running from the 1st of December up until Christmas Eve.

The event involves a different town centre venue opening at 6:15 pm each day to reveal a local talent performing for half an hour to support a local charity.

Therefore, during the lead up to Christmas, there will be twenty-four nights with twenty-four venues and twenty-four performances, all hosted by one town!

The event has already raised an impressive £12,000 through sponsorship for local charities”

The performers will be a complete surprise with no one being announced, meaning complete anonymity up until the big reveal.

The event has already raised an impressive £12,000 through sponsorship for local charities, with more donations coming in every evening throughout December.
