Over 40 free workshops added to Volunteer Expo programme

The learning opportunities keep coming at Volunteer Expo, with over 40 new workshops announced for visitors to attend.

Looking for practical advice on how to turn your passion into action? Maybe you want to learn how to kickstart a digital fundraising campaign? Or perhaps you’re looking to explore a topic you’ve never experienced before?

Over 40 free workshops have been added to the Volunteer Expo programme to help you delve deeper into the areas you love or learn something completely new.

From the global sanitation crisis, to providing emergency first aid, and spotting the signs of modern slavery, to the art of peaceful protest and more, there is plenty on offer.

All workshops will take place in Volunteer Expo’s themed Learning Zones:

  • Social and Environmental Impact Zone, sponsored by Royal Voluntary Service
  • Health and Wellbeing Zone, sponsored by Staysure
  • Practical Action Zone

The workshops will take on difference formats, including practical activities, panel discussions, Q&A sessions and idea exchanges with peers and fellow visitors.

Hosted by a range of sector experts from local, national and international charities and community groups of all shapes and sizes, the programme will give visitors a variety of perspectives.

All workshops are open on a first come, first served basis on the day of the event. Pre-booking for individual sessions is not available. Make sure you’ve booked your free tickets for the whole show, and arrive early to avoid disappointment.

Volunteer Expo will take place from 1st-3rd May 2020 at the NEC, Birmingham and is hosted by Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland.

The UK's national volunteering show has landed.
