Rotary Young Environmentalist

Providing young people the chance to engage with the environment and address serious issues

While we undertake a review of all of our Youth Competitions, the Rotary Young Environmentalist competition will not take place nationally for 2024/25.

Environmental matters

The environment remains one of Rotary’s seven Areas of Focus, and we are committed to working with our communities to protect the areas we call home.

Many Rotary clubs and groups are already having an impact through projects and activities, including with young people.

We are excited that the theme for Rotary Young Artist, Rotary Young Photographer and Rotary Young Writer is ‘Wonderful Water’, allowing participants to explore and closely link their work to the environment.

Also during 2024/25, we will be hosting the Rotary Young Citizen Awards, which include a dedicated category to celebrate young people who have had a positive environmental impact.

Although not taking place nationally, it is possible that the competition may be taking place locally, so please contact your local Rotary club to find out.
