Rotaractors from Europe head to Ireland

An exciting new opportunity for Rotary and Rotaract collaboration is making its way to GB&I this October!

For the very first time, Rotaract European Meeting (REM) will take place in Ireland! REMs are the twice-annual convention of Rotaractors from across Europe to share ideas, make connections, and explore new cities.

There are also optional short trips that take place before

and after the main event, called Pre-REM and Post-REM. Pre-REM will take place in Cork, and Post-REM will be in Galway.

REM Dublin will take place from 20-23 October 2022 in Dublin, Ireland. Approximately 450 Rotaractors will attend, making it the largest Rotaract event to take place in GB&I since EUCO London 2008!

The importance of REM Dublin cannot be overstated. The event is an amazing opportunity to reinvigorate Rotaract and Rotary in Great Britain and Ireland.

The topics of focus at REM Dublin will be climate action and mental health.”

The topics of focus at REM Dublin will be climate action and mental health.

The conference aims to open the conversation about what we can do as individuals and in our organisations to tackle climate change and support the wellbeing of ourselves, our loved ones, and our fellow Rotarians and Rotaractors.

REM Dublin is eager to work with Rotarians on the event, the committee is looking for speakers to contribute to the climate action and mental health workshops and panel discussions.

Local knowledge of Dublin, Cork and Galway would also be extremely helpful in planning the itineraries for each segment of the event.

Inflation has severely impacted the planning, and there has been limited time to organise the event—planning started in February this year, and the event was approved in late May.
